After a skeptical start - a controversial opening ceremony, security at every turn, fenced streets, QR codes to enter buildings, unfinished construction sites - prompting many residents to flee, the city has settled into a relaxed acceptance, even party mode, as people watching from cafés has taken on a whole new meaning and enthusiastic visitors from the world over enjoy the nooks and crannies of this beautiful city and its lifestyle.
