Place Dauphine in rare winter white in early January.
***
Last year FocusOnParis quietly passed its 10-year mark, and today, its 11th anniversary, has quietly arrived, and so quickly. The photo blog that began as a sideline, a fun diversion (and still is), in collaboration with other photographers - and as a way to use a fraction of the many photos I accumulate as I go about my days - has led to unexpected discoveries, friendships, rewarding experiences, more. Obviously I don’t post 98% of my life, and it takes me just minutes to post, usually in the morning over a second cup (the first is with my husband). And I can post/edit from anywhere: a cafĂ©, a park bench, the edge of a quiet bridge, the window seat of a slow moving train, the comfort of my own couch, another country. I appreciate and thank my many visitors - including those who tiptoe on in wee hours their time - and look forward to this next year. And of course my thanks, always, to this beautiful city, my city, for the endless images it keeps offering up. - BPJ
